1. How to request deletion
To request deletion of your InkDub account and its associated data, email us from the address you use to sign in:
- Send an email to info@apexforge.tech from the email address you used to sign in to InkDub, so we can verify the request is yours.
- Use the subject line “InkDub Account Deletion.”
- In the message, confirm that you want your account and associated data permanently deleted.
We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days. You do not need an active subscription to request deletion. If InkDub offers an in-app account deletion option in your version of the App, you may also use that.
Cancel your subscription first. Deleting an InkDub account does not automatically cancel a Google Play or Apple App Store subscription. Cancel the subscription through the applicable store before requesting account deletion if you want to stop future renewal charges.
2. What data is deleted
When your request is processed, we permanently delete the following from our systems:
- Account credentials — your email address and sign-in identity, including any Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple link.
- Profile information — display name and account preferences.
- Subscription records — subscription tier, status, and renewal state associated with your account.
- Account-linked service records — synthesis jobs, device-installation records, and usage-allowance entries are scheduled for deletion, subject to lawful retention requirements.
- Usage analytics — in-app usage events associated with your account identifier.
3. What data is retained, and for how long
We may retain limited information after a deletion request where necessary for legitimate purposes such as security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, financial record-keeping, or compliance with legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized:
- Payment and transaction records required for tax, accounting, and legal compliance are retained for the period required by applicable law (commonly up to 7 years), then deleted. Payments are processed by Google Play or Apple — we do not store your full payment card details.
- Generated audio cache entries are keyed by content rather than by account and may remain after account deletion; our current cache process targets entries that have not been accessed for 90 days.
- Aggregated or anonymized analytics that can no longer identify you may be retained for product statistics.
Google Play maintains its own records of purchases made through the store, independently of InkDub. To manage that data, see your Google Account settings.
4. Data stored only on your device
InkDub stores your imported documents (PDF/EPUB), reading progress, bookmarks, notes, reading statistics, and app settings locally on your device — this content is not uploaded to our servers for storage or synchronization (only text you submit for cloud narration is transmitted, as described in our Privacy Policy). It is removed when you delete it in the App or uninstall the App from your device.
